Kevin Durant is a professional basketball player from the United States. He was born on September 29, 1988, in Washington, D.C. Durant is known for his exceptional scoring ability, versatility, and height, standing at 6 feet 10 inches (2.08 meters) tall.

Durant played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns before declaring for the 2007 NBA Draft. He was selected as the second overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics, who later became the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his rookie season, Durant made an immediate impact and was named the NBA Rookie of the Year.

During his time with the Thunder, Durant established himself as one of the league's premier players. He won four scoring titles, was named to the All-NBA First Team multiple times, and led the Thunder to the NBA Finals in 2012.
