Ja Morant, whose full name is Temetrius Jamel "Ja" Morant, is a professional basketball player from the United States. He was born on August 10, 1999, in Dalzell, South Carolina. Morant played college basketball for Murray State University from 2017 to 2019, where he gained significant attention for his exceptional play and was recognized as one of the top prospects in his draft class.

In the 2019 NBA Draft, Ja Morant was selected as the second overall pick by the Memphis Grizzlies.
